The founding Story :

Established on the 3rd of June, 1985, Indira Gandhi Memorial Matric Higher Secondary School has been a pillar of educational excellence and growth for nearly four decades. From its modest beginnings, the school has flourished into a nurturing educational institution dedicated to shaping the minds and characters of its students. When Indira Gandhi Memorial Matric Higher Secondary School first opened its doors on June 3, 1985, the school offered classes from Standard 1 to 8.

In 1995 and 1996, Indira Gandhi Memorial Matric Higher Secondary School obtained permits to introduce 11th and 12th standards respectively. This expansion marked a significant milestone in the school’s journey, providing students with the opportunity to pursue higher education and specialized fields of study within the school’s supportive and enriching environment.
